Where do the ingredients of my products or medicines come from? Where do my daily foods come from? How can you optimize the production and distribution of energy? Under what conditions will damage be compensated for by insurance and is this always so and purely out of goodwill?
This is not nearly an excerpt of examples of how much Blockchain will impact life and form it easier for us in the future. To regard the given as immutable and unchangeable was and is one of my most distinctive qualities. In addition, my social character and the intention to leave something behind for future generations were added. The pro-active and „smart“ mindset was sharpened by the birth of my daughter and my drive in this regard increased many times over.
As the „Internet“ began to network some prestigious universities, few could foresee the real impact on us and society on our planet. After almost three decades, we are all richer by one experience, it has changed our lives sustainably and positively. Again, we are currently at such a crossroads, the Blockchain weighs, from my perspective, at least as impressive. Often it is the thoughts and ideas of individuals who sustainably improve the lives of all others and lead them into a new future.
Blockchain, the most well-known of DLT’s (decentralized ledger technology), has begun to evolve, to make things possible that were pure vision before their creation and dissemination. The main obstacles such as the consensus, the „double-spending issue“, or the worldwide and unconditional access of all, have been resolved. As if this was not enough in the solution’s contribution, the need for data centres and the need for a company to pre-allocate all resources were further addressed. Put better, lifted. Every participant or beneficiary of a system is generally very willing to contribute to the preservation. If customers did not trust a system, they would not actively use it. Due to the blockchain technology, we no longer need centralized giants from global corporations that are able to test the aforementioned criteria for us and under whose approval and benevolence we may act.
Anyone who thinks of the financial system in the blockchain field forgets the true clout of Blockchain. The main advantage of a blockchain over a classical and web-enabled database is the decentralization, the immutability of the past. Once stored and communicated to the network, it remains committed until the end of its existence. The transparency and thus reliability of the Blockchain heralds a new era in our world. Smart contracts, so-called „smart contracts“, round off the potential of blockchain and make it a solid contribution in almost all areas of our being and doing. It would be foolish to reduce a world champion in all-around to a single sport …
